AMMONIA

Ammonia (NH3) is a standalone fuel and is a perfect vehicle to carry hydrogen (H2) to distribution sites. Ammonia is the world’s fifth most traded commodity and is safer, more stable and cheaper than most fuel sources. It is also used in alkaline fuel cells.

GREEN AMMONIA

Green ammonia is possible through CCS (Carbon Capture Separation), which is ammonia production that is completely carbon free. Green ammonia is a reliable low carbon green energy source and can be used as fuel in cars, trucks, ships and airplanes.

Green ammonia can be produced by renewable energy sources such as:

  • Wind
  • Solar
  • Geothermal
  • Regular Hydrogen
  • Electricity

INVESTMENT

Aberdeen has made a strategic investment into a Canadian based company that is capable of creating 100% green ammonia, for use in fertilizers and fuels. This investment will further round out Aberdeen’s exposure to the green space, and add green fertilizer production as a near term business case.
